GIVING
The generous [person] is a source of blessing and shall be
prosperous and enriched, and [those] who water will [themselves] be watered
reaping the generosity [they have] sown.
Proverbs 11:25
AMPLIFIED BIBLE (AMP)
We encourage all of those who are part of our Church family to give—not out of obligation but out of a spirit of worship. Your gifts allow God's work to be done in our midst, in our community, and in the world around us.
The Bible says that tithing relates to our reverence of God and teaches us to place God first in all things. Through our offerings we express that God is our greatest treasure of all - and that where we put or invest our money, by choice, helps to move our hearts that way.
In other words, if we want God to bless our marriages, relationships, and family life, we must put God first in our marriages, relationships, and family life. If we want God to bless our job, we must put God first in our job. If we want God to bless our decisions about our future, then we must place God first in our decisions about our future. If we want God to bless our finances, then we must put him first in our finances.
Tithe means “tenth” or the “first tenth.” It’s the heart of God’s people to reach others with the gospel who may have never heard or experienced it any other way. It is our contribution. So we give with all our hearts and all our love because we know that God will somehow bring our tithes and offerings to life in a way that changes lives.
