W. Keoki Kiwaha

Wryen "Keoki" Kiwaha began his call as Senior Kahu on September 8, 2023. He was officially installed by the Hawaii Island Association UCC on January 13, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Kealia, he has remained engaged in the life of the community and in efforts to support and lead organizations related to public education, crime prevention, and public safety.
Since joining our church community in 2014, Keoki has actively served the wider UCC in various leadership roles. He has been specifically an advocate for both labor/economic justice, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and Native Hawaiian issues.
In addition to being licensed minister, Keoki is also a Member in Discernment on a spiritual and educational journey towards ordination in the UCC.
Kahu Keoki serves as the president of the Hawaii Island Association UCC, secretary of the State Council of Hawaiian Congregational Churches (SCHCC), and a board director of the Pūʻā Foundation.

Senior Kahu & Diaconate
The Senior Kahu and Deacons work collaboratively to provide spiritual guidance, care, and support to our congregation. Together, they lead in worship, nurture the faith of our community, and walk alongside members in times of need, helping our church live out its call to love God and neighbor.

The Common Council of the Church.
The Common Council of the Church oversees the governance, administration, and mission of the congregation. They guide the stewardship of resources, support the ministries of the church, and help ensure that all we do reflects our shared calling and purpose.

The Common Council carries out its work and functions through various "teams," acting as Committees. Teams consist of the Councilmembers and other members of the Congregation interested in contributing to, and participating in, the work of a particular team.
